The Masquerade Theatre

Educator and Founding Artistic Director Phillip Duggins established The Masquerade Theatre in 1996. Due to the popularity of musicals and increasing requests from patrons, a decision was made in its second season to become purely a musical theatre. Since that time the theater audiences have grown significantly and demand for seats has resulted in becoming the resident company of The Hobby Center’s Zilkha Hall and, incredibly, in only its 9th year of existence!

Masquerade’s mission encompasses arts and culture, education, youth development, and community enhancement. Specifically, Masquerade’s mission is dedicated to providing quality, professional musical productions for theatre patrons in the Houston metropolitan area.
